I have better things to be doing right now
so I did this instead

I saw somebody make a graphic similar to this once, but I felt like making one that was a little more comprehensive. Unfortunately, following everything to its conclusion means killing Marty McFly at least twice.

Edit: Fixed. There are 15, not 11, different timelines. There's still just 8 seen in the films, but still. Gotta be correct.
(There's still actually several missing but I can't be bothered)

End of Part I. Marty returns, the car breaks down, and he runs to the mall just in time to see himself travel back in time. It's this other Marty who we see from afar that I'm proposing has to have up and exploded.

No, that's a stable time loop. That's the same marty that went back in time earlier in the movie

we're on a different timeline now aren't we

I'd say it's almost gr9
It's also wrong, I just realized.

There should actually be four more timelines... at least.
It's those trips to 1885 that screw with everything, because then you need four more timelines each time or else all the events of the first two movies are undone blargh.

This is why not to invent time travel kids
